Terms of use
These conditions govern the use of the BahiaStay site and the services of holiday-rental brokerage and property-acquisition advisory.

This is a preliminary version. The registered company name, tax number, address and court of jurisdiction have not yet been settled and will be added before publication — none of them has been filled in with a hypothetical value.
This is a translation provided for convenience. The Portuguese version is the one that governs, and it prevails in case of any divergence. Read the original in Portuguese
1. What BahiaStay is, and what it is not
BahiaStay is a curation and brokerage platform. We select, visit and present third-party properties; we do not own the houses, guesthouses and properties shown, except where the page says so expressly.
In a holiday rental, the contract is between the guest and the owner or their representative, with BahiaStay acting as intermediary, responsible for the curation, the support and holding the payment in escrow until check-in.
In a property acquisition, BahiaStay acts as adviser in bringing buyer and seller together. The transaction is formalised directly between the parties, with the deed executed before a notary.
2. Property information
Descriptions, measurements, photographs and amenities are supplied by the owners and checked by our team on a site visit. Seasonal conditions — the state of the sea, building work nearby, staff availability — can vary and are confirmed by the team before booking.
Prices are stated in Brazilian reais, per night, and can vary with the season, the length of stay and the number of guests. The final amount is always confirmed in writing before any charge.
3. Bookings, payment and cancellation
Sending a booking request through the site does not create a charge and does not guarantee availability. The booking is confirmed when the conditions are accepted in writing and the deposit is paid.
The balance is paid before check-in and held in escrow until the guest arrives at the property.
Cancellation conditions are set by contract for each property and disclosed before the deposit is paid. New Year, Carnival and long weekends may have their own terms.
4. Guest conduct
The guest undertakes to respect the stated maximum occupancy, the rules of the community and the quiet of the neighbourhood. Events, parties and visitors beyond the declared group require the owner's prior express authorisation.
Damage caused to the property during the stay is the guest's responsibility, under the signed rental agreement.
5. Intellectual property
The texts, photographs, visual identity and editorial organisation of this site belong to BahiaStay or its licensors. Reproduction without written authorisation is prohibited.
6. Limitation of liability
BahiaStay is liable for the services it provides directly: curation, brokerage, support and holding the payment. It is not liable for unforeseeable events, force majeure, weather conditions, interruption of public utilities, or for obligations that fall to the owner under the rental agreement.
7. Changes
These conditions may be updated. The date of the last revision appears at the top of this page, and material changes are communicated to anyone with a booking in progress.
8. Language
The Portuguese version of this document is the official one. The English, Spanish and French translations are offered for convenience; in case of any divergence of interpretation, the Portuguese text prevails.
